Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Basic settings section. You will see option Direction of Rotation. You can either select horizontal rotation, vertical rotation or combination of both. Save Changes.

Q. How to control the speed of slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Basic settings section. You will see option Speed. It will decide the speed with which each slide will appear in the slider.

Also You can customize the options Time between Two Slides & Time between Two Cubes Rotation as per your requirements.

Q. How to decide the number of cubes a slide will break into?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Basic settings section. You will see option Break each Slide into. Select the number of cubes to divide each slide into fixed number of cubes & Save Changes.

You can also randomize the number of cubes a slide will break into, by using the checkbox of Randomize number of Cubes per Slide. Just enable it & Save Changes.

Q. How to customize the number of posts displayed in the D-Box Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Basic settings section. You will see option Max. Number of Posts in the Dbox Slider. Enter the number of posts you want to display in the slider & Save changes.

Q. How to customize the width & height of the D-Box Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Basic settings section. You will see options Max. Slider Width & Slider Height.Customize these options as per your requirements & Save Changes.

Q. PRO Feature - How to create multiple custom sliders of D-Box slider ?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider =>Sliders page. Click on Create New Slider . Assign name to new slider in Enter New Slider name text area. Then Click on Create New. You will see a new slider created.

Q. PRO Feature - How to create multiple settings for D-Box slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page . You will see a tab Create New Settings Set on extreme right of the window. Click on that. A window will appear asking Create new Settings Set??. Click on OK.

Now Assign name to new settings set in Settings Set Name text area. Customize the setting according to your requirements & finally Save Changes.

Q. How to retain specific HTML tags?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Retain these html tags’. Enter the HTML tags you want to retain in this text field. e.g.<ul><li><a> etc.
Q. How to change Read More text & remove it completely?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Continue Reading Text’ having default value as ‘Read More’ in its text field.

If you want to change it to “Continue Reading” then simply write ‘Continue Reading’ instead of ‘Read More’ & Save Changes.

If you want to remove ‘Read More’ completely; keep the text field vacant & Save Changes.

Q. How to open the slide link in new browser tab?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (‘a’ element) attributes’. Write target=”blank” & Save Changes.

Also You can Open the Edit panel of your Page/Post & go to its D-Box Slider Meta Box. You will see option ‘Slide Link (anchor) Attributes’. Write target=”blank” & Save Changes.

Q. How to specify nofollow to a link?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (‘a’ element) attributes’. Write rel=”nofollow” there & Save Changes.

Also You can Open the Edit panel of your Page/Post & go to its D-Box Slider Meta box section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (anchor) Attributes’. Write rel=”nofollow” there & Update the Page/Post.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You just have to check the checkbox of the option ‘Use PrettyPhoto (Lightbox) for Slide Images’. Save Changes.

Now On WordPress dashboard, Go to SliderVilla Slides => Add New. Now you have created a Custom Post.

Q. How to specify your own CSS rules to D-Box slider elements?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Custom Styles’. You should write your own CSS code in the specified text field.

Q. How to specify Google Fonts for various text elements in D-Box?

Ans. On the Google Web Fonts page scroll to the font you want to use. You will find Quick use option of that particular font. Click on that. Scroll down to section Add this code to your website. You will see the name of font in its text field. Copy only the name of font & paste it in D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides panel tab => Post Content section => ‘Google Web Font’ option. Save changes.

e.g. Open+Sans+Condensed:300 , Yanone+Kaffeesatz, Roboto, etc.

If Google font specified above doesn’t work, then go to back to Quick use option of that font. Scroll down to section Integrate the fonts into your CSS section mentioning the next font-family. select the same name of next font-family in D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides Panel tab => Slide Content section => ‘Font’ option. Save changes.

Q. How to specify image url using custom field on edit post?

Ans. In the custom field of edit panel of the post you will see option ‘Custom Thumbnail Image(url)’. Specify your image url in the given text field.

Q. How to Optimize images loaded in D-Box slider?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides Panel tab => Slide Image section. You will see option ‘WordPress Image Extract Size’. You can choose from the options Full, Large, Medium or Thumbnail as per your requirement. Save Changes.
e.g. If you select option ‘Thumbnail’ , the image loaded in the slider will be reduced to resolution of 150*150 & hence reducing its size.

Q. How to make Pure Image Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides Panel tab => Slide Image section. You will see ‘Make pure Image Slider’ checkbox. Check it & Save Changes.

Q. Why the slider images are not loading in the D-Box?

Ans. If the every checkbox of Image Pick Preferences option in Slides Panel tab of Slide Image section is unchecked, then check these checkboxes for displaying the slider images.

Also the value of the option Enable Image cropping (Using Timthumb) Should be Changed to ‘yes’. Save Changes.

Change its value as ‘yes’. & also you will find option Pick content From in the same section, If you want to show excerpt below the Slide Title, Choose ‘Post Excerpt’. If you want to remove excerpt below the Slide Title, Choose option other than ‘Post Excerpt’. Save Changes.

Q. How to control the length of excerpt text?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides Panel tab => Slide Content section. You will see option ‘Pick content From’. Choose its value as ‘Post Excerpt’.

Below it, yow will find options ‘Maximum content size (in words)’ & ‘Maximum content size (in characters)’ . You can specify maximum length of excerpt text here either in words or in characters or both; but having preference to length specified in words.

Q. What are the options to pull the text content below the slide title?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Slides Panel tab =>Slide Content section. You will see checkbox ‘Show content/description below title’. Change its value to yes & Save Changes.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Navigation Arrows tab => Post meta In Navigation section. You will see Meta Field 1 & Meta Field 2 because, you can have maximum two meta fields only. There are four Meta Functions that can be used in the settings field.

Q. How to embed videos in D-Box Slider?

Ans. Open the Edit panel of your Page/Post & go to its Custom Fields section. Add new custom field by clicking on ‘Enter New ‘. Enter the name of custom field in ‘Name’ text field as ‘dbox_media’. Enter the i-frame code of the video in the ‘Value’ text field.
We have added few extra code to the Original i-frame embed code for proper functioning, as shown below :

Q. How to enable or disable Preview Section?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see checkbox ‘Disable Preview Section’. Check it to disable Preview Section, otherwise leave it unchecked.

Q. How to preview Category slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘D-Box Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Category slider’. Save Changes.

Q. How to preview Recent Posts slider?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘D-Box Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Recent Posts slider’. Save Changes.

Q. How to preview Custom D-Box slider?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘D-Box Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Custom Slider with slidet id’. Mention the Slider id in the ‘Slider ID in case of Custom Slider’ field. Save Changes.

Q. Which shortcode or template tag can I use for this setting?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Shortcode section. Copy the shortcode provided in this section into the Edit Panel of your Page/Post.
On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Preview tab => Template Tag section. Copy the Template tag provided in this section into your theme template file.

Q. Can I create my own navigation arrow images?

Ans. Yes. Kindly follow the path from the folder where you have installed D-Box Slider. D-Box Slider => css => skins => default =>buttons. You will see folders containing prev.png & next.png. You can create a folder having your own navigation arrow images nmes as prev.png & next.png.

Now on WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Navigation tab => Navigation Buttons section. You will see option Next-Prev buttons folder. Select the name of folder created by you. & Save changes.

Q. How to customize the Navigation Dots?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Navigation tab => Navigation Dots section. You will see options Background Color, Fill Color of Current Dot & size. Modify these values according to your requirements & Save Changes.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Navigation tab => Navigation Dots section. You will see options Background Color, Background Color on Hover & size. Modify these values according to your requirements & Save Changes.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘D-Box Slider Styles to Use on Other than Post/Pages’. Change its value to ‘Sample’.

Now go to ‘Generated CSS’ tab=> CSS generated through these settings section. Copy the CSS generated into the D-Box Slider => CSS => Skins => sample => style.css file. Now open style.css file & customize it.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page. On the extreme right of your window you will see Export tab. Click on it.

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page. At the bottom of page you will see a section to import settings. Browse only the D-Box setting file and click on import.

Q. How to reset D-Box settings to default or to other settings sets?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to D-Box Slider => Settings page. At the bottom of the page you will see option ‘Reset Setting to’. Choose Default Settings Set for resetting D-Box settings to default & Click on Reset Settings.

You can choose names of other setting set & click on Reset Settings to reset D-Box settings to other setting set.

Q. How to use add-ons with D-Box Slider?

Ans. On http://slidervilla.com, go to Add-ons Tab, You will find three types of plugins available, named as RSS Add-on,Taxonomy add-on & Post Attachments add-on. Buy among these plugins as per your requirement. After buying, you will be provided with a .zip folder, unzip it & Upload the plugin’s folder to your /wp-content/plugins directory.

On WordPress dashboard, Go to Plugins=>Installed Plugins=> Activate the installed plugin e.g.SliderVilla – Gallery / Post Attachments addon. Now, Open the Edit panel of your Page/Post & go to its Add Media Section. Select the range of images & close the window. You have to write down the shortcode as shown below in your post.
