Q. How to create multiple custom sliders of Akkord slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider =>Sliders page. Click on ‘Create New Slider’ . Assign name to new slider in Enter New Slider name text area. Then Click on Create New. You will see a new slider created.

Q. How to create multiple settings for Akkord slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page . You will see a tab ‘Create New Settings Set’ on extreme right of the window. Click on that. A window will appear asking Create new Settings Set??. Click on OK.

Now Assign name to new settings set in Settings Set Name text area. Customize the setting according to your requirements & finally Save Changes.

Q. Explain that Sliders are for content & Settings are for skin & control.

Ans. Sliders are used to display your content while settings are used to control the appearance of your content in the slider. You will simply add your content (e.g. posts,images,videos) to a slider and setting will decide things like slider width, slide border, slide transition speed, etc.akkord speed

Q. How to change or include meta fields?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Slides tab => Meta Fields Below Post Title section. You will see option ‘Show Meta Below Title’. Customize its value as yes. Now, you can add maximum two meta fields in options Meta Field 1 and Meta Field 2.

Q. How to add recent post slider on my front page?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘Akkord Template Tag for Preview’. Set its value as Recent Posts Slider & save changes. You will see the shortcode generated for slider showing recent posts in Shortcode section. Embed this code into your Front Page & Update.

Q. How to set image pick preference for a post/page images in slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Slide Image section . You will see option ‘Image Pick Preferences’. There you can specify from where you want to fetch post or page images like form custom field or featured image or images attached to it. You can even scan images from the post, in case there is no attached image to the post by checking it.

Q. How to specify image extract size of slide image?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Slide Image section . You will see a list ‘WordPress Image Extract Size’. It is used for fast page load. It is recommended to do not select full size images as it will take original size of image and may take time to load instead you can select medium or thumbnail size images.

Q. How to specify custom title for post/page in slider?

Ans. If you want to specify custom title for post/page then you can do it by editing your post/page and adding a custom field named SlideTitle to which you can assign a value which you want to display as a title.

Q. How to create a Akkord Slider with bulk upload of images?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Plugins => Installed Plugins => Activate “Post Attachments Add On” plugin. Now on the Edit panel of your Page/Post, Click on Add Media Button => Upload Files => Select Files. Browse & Choose the images as per your requirement.=> Open. All the images that you have selected will appear with a tick on their thumbnails, close this window. Go to the Edit panel of the Page/Post where you want this slider. You just have to write the shortcode there, e.g. [svattachments slider=’akkord’ set=’1′ id=’1′]  Here id is the ID of the Post / Page /Custom Post Type whose image attachments you would want to show in the Slider and set is the setting set.

Q. How to put list items in Akkord Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to akkord Slider => Settings page => Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Retain these html tags’. Enter the HTML tags you want to retain in this text field. e.g. <ul><li>

Now all the <li> elements from post or page content will appear in list format only in the slider.

Q. How to retain specific HTML tags?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Retain these html tags’. Enter the HTML tags you want to retain in this text field. e.g. <ul><li><a>

Now the <li> and <a> elements i.e. list and links will appear in that format only in the slider.

Q. How to change Read More text & remove it completely?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Continue Reading Text’.

If you want this text as “Continue Reading” then simply write ‘Continue Reading’ and click on Save Changes.

If you want to remove ‘Read More’ completely; keep the text field vacant & Save Changes.

Q. How to open the slide link in new browser tab?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (‘a’ element) attributes’. Write target=”_blank” & Save Changes.

Also You can Open the Edit link of your Page/Post & go to its Akkord Slider section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (anchor) Attributes’. Write target=”_blank” & Save Changes.

Q. How to specify nofollow to a link?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (‘a’ element) attributes’. Write rel=”nofollow” there & Save Changes.

Also You can Open the Edit link of your Page/Post & go to its Akkord Slider section. You will see option ‘Slide Link (anchor) Attributes’. Write rel=”nofollow” there & Update the Page/Post.

Q. How to enable PrettyPhoto (Lightbox) for slide images?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see a checkbox ‘Use PrettyPhoto (Lightbox) for Slide Images’ by default it is unchecked. If you want to enable it, just check it & Save Changes. Now you will see a lightbox image after clicking on slide image.akkord lightbox

Q. How to add restriction on which user can add posts to slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see a list ‘Minimum User Level to add Post to the Slider’. You can select the users from select list who can add posts to the slider and save changes.

Q. How to give a message in javascript disable browsres?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see a text field ‘Text to display in the JavaScript disabled browser’. You can specify a message to be displayed in the javascript disabled browsers in this text filed and save changes.

Q. How to hide Akkord Slider Metabox from posts/pages/media?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see a multiple selection box ‘Remove Akkord Slider Metabox on’. You can select the options from where you want to remove Akkord Slider Metabox like form post/pages/media and save changes.

Q. How to remove Akkord slider plugin details from admin page?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==>Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see a option ‘Show Slider Details on Admin Page’. You can select No option from it to remove plugin details from admin page and save changes.

Q. How to Randomize slides in Akkord Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You just have to check the checkbox ‘Randomize Slides in Slider’ and save changes.

Q. How to create custom slides that are neither Posts nor Pages?

Ans.On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option Create “SliderVilla Slides” Custom Post Type. Its default value is ‘No’, Change it to ‘Yes’. Save Changes.

Now On WordPress dashboard, Go to SliderVilla Slides => Add New. Now you have created a Custom Post.

Q. How to specify your own CSS rules to Akkord slider elements?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Custom Styles’. You should write your own CSS code in the specified text field and save changes.

Q. How to specify Google Fonts for various text elements in Akkord slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Slides tab => Slide/Post Title section. You will see option ‘Google Web Font’. Now enter the value like Open+Sans or Open+Sans+Condensed:300 etc. in the specified text field. Save Changes.

You can add any Google Font in Akkord slider and apply the same to different elements of the slider.akkord google font

Q. How to specify image URL using custom field on edit post?

Ans. In the custom field of edit post you will see option ‘Custom Thumbnail Image(url)’. Specify your image URL in the given text field and update the post.

Q. How to make Pure Image Slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Slides tab => Slide Image section. You will see option ‘Make pure Image Slider’ checkbox. Check it & Save Changes.akkord pure image

Q. How to specify Default image for Akkord Slides?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page => Slides tab => Slide Image section. You will see option Default Image. Write the link of the image in the specifeid text field. e.g. http:///example.com/bg1.jpg & Save Changes.

Q. How to show or remove excerpt bellow the Slide Title?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Setting page ==> Slides tab => Slide Content section. You will see option ‘Pick content From’. If you want to show excerpt below the Slide Title, Choose ‘Post Excerpt’. If you want to remove excerpt below the Slide Title, Choose option other than ‘Post Excerpt’. Save Changes.

Q. How to control the length of content text?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Setting page ==> Slides tab => Slide Content section. You will see option ‘Pick content From’. Choose its value as ‘Post Excerpt’.

Below it, you will find options ‘Maximum content size (in words)’ & ‘Maximum content size (in characters)’ . You can specify maximum length of excerpt text here either in words or in characters or both; but having preference to length specified in words.

Q. What are the options to pull the text content below the slide title?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Setting page ==> Slides tab => Slide Content section. You will see a list ‘Show content/description in slides below title’. Select it & Save Changes.

Now you can show text below the slide title either from excerpt, content or custom field. The option is available under the field “Pick Content From”. If you set this option to pick content from custom field then you need to add custom field named as slider_content in your post/page and mention a value of this field which will appear in slider post content.

Q. How to enable or disable Preview Section?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see checkbox ‘Disable Preview Section’. Check it to disable Preview Section, otherwise leave it unchecked and save changes.dbox preview

Q. How to preview Category slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘Akkord Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Category slider’ and you need to mention category slug in Preview Slider Params option text feild. Save Changes.

Q. How to preview Recent Posts slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘Akkord Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Recent Posts slider’. Save Changes.

Q. How to preview Custom Akkord slider?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Preview on Settings Panel section. You will see option ‘Akkord Template Tag for Preview’. Choose ‘Custom Slider with slider id’. Mention the Slider id in the ‘Slider ID in case of Custom Slider’ field. Save Changes.

Q. Which shortcode or template tag can I use for this setting?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Shortcode section. Copy the shortcode provided in this section into the Edit Panel of your Page/Post.

On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page ==> Preview tab => Template Tag section. Copy the Template tag provided in this section into your theme template file.

Q. How to create custom stylesheets & use them if you do not want inline styles?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider => Settings page ==> Basic tab => Miscellaneous section. You will see option ‘Akkord Slider Styles to Use on Other than Post/Pages’. Change its value to ‘Sample’.

Now go to ‘Generated CSS’ tab=> CSS generated through these settings section. Copy the CSS generated and paste it into the Akkord Slider => CSS => Skins => Sample => style.css file. Now open style.css file & customize it.

Q. How to export Akkord Slider settings to a file?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page. On the extreme right of your window you will see Export tab. Click on it.

Q. How to import Akkord Slider settings from a file?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page. At the bottom of page you will see a section to import settings. Browse only the Akkord setting file and click on import.

Q. How to reset Akkord slider settings to default or to other settings sets?

Ans. On WordPress dashboard, Go to Akkord Slider=> Settings page. At the bottom of the page you will see option ‘Reset Setting to’. Choose Default Settings Set for resetting Akkord settings to default & Click on Reset Settings.

You can choose names of other setting set & click on Reset Settings to reset Akkord settings to other setting set.
